Yay the petroleum jelly trick worked on my FF12 disk uwu the copy I got from Ebay was scratched and would make CG cutscenes load really slowly (or in one case not load at all), but the Vaseline seems to have done the trick. Currently purposely setting off alarms nearby a save crystal so I can grind lol

I have hunted a vicious wolf and a rogue tomato. I've snuck into the royal palace and stole a magic gem from the idol of a goddess while bombs dropped all around. I tamed the angry fire elemental that screamed a war horse's scream as an inferno raged around it. I am currently in prison in a foreign nation.

Getting to the #FinalFantasy12 endgame, and I just defeated the boss Shemhazai without touching the controller.
My knight, black make, and white mage did the fight entirely on auto-pilot. This is how all the regular mob fights play, but an endgame boss?

And I thought combat in Final Fantasy 13 was brain dead.

The story of Final Fantasy 12 feels like the script got blown away by the wind and they were only able to recover 30% of the pages, but decided to just go with that.

The stories of FF10 and FF13 weren't complex either, but this is much worse than those two.

As has been the case with Final Fantasy 10 and 13, now that I am 25 hours! into #FF12, the game is finally starting to demand some kind of effort from me to win fights, instead of playing itself or only requiring me to press X every three seconds.

Even if this is meant to be a game series accessible to kids by gradually introducing all the mechanics, playing half to two thirds of a game before you get to any challenge is ridiculous.

Of all the characters in #FinalFantasy12, I didn't expect Fran to be the one I want to know more about the most.

Who is she?!

She seems to be the one who knows the most about what's going on. While everyone else, except maybe Balthier, seems to be barely aware that something's going on in the first place.

(I also have no clue what's going on anymore. Exposition is another thing this game handles very poorly.)

Not sure if Final Fantasy 12 is really, really easy, or if I am ridiculously overlevelled without even trying.

In boss fights, I do have to watch my characters HP and occasionally use a potion, but in regular combat the game entirely plays itself.
