Ich habe ja bei dieser amerikanischen foto-App - Insta Alternative - ohne Algorithmus, chronologische Timeline, keine Like- und Followeranzeige mit meinen 65 Followern, oft mehr als halb so viel Likes für meine Fotos, als bei Insta mit über 2000 Followern. 🤨
"Das Bessere ist der Feind des Guten", so sagt der Volksmund. Trotzdem frage ich mich, wieviele Foto- und VideoApps die Welt noch braucht und bewundere die Entwickler ob ihres Optimismus – und bedauere sie zugleich. Bleibt noch die Frage, wieviele Abos man eigentlich abschließen soll, nur für die passende Verwendung der eingebauten Hardware. Filme entwickeln lassen war früher fast billiger 😂 .

Habe festgestellt, dass ich jetzt - nach einer Weile der Nutzung, nicht mehr ganz so zufrieden mit der Foto-App von Calyx bin.
Was ich da vermisse und die Neue haben sollte, ist:
- ordentlicher Fokus-Modus (das kann die Calyx-App nur, wenn man zuvor reinzoomt. Ich will aber nicht immer ein Zoom-Foto aufnehmen)
- mehr Funktionen für die Bildbearbeitung (Calyx-App kann nicht schärfen und die Farbanpassung ist auch eher dürftig. Auch ein Pinselwerkzeug fehlt, z. B. um einen Pfeil reinzumalen oder um was zu verdecken.)
Ich vermisse diese Funktionen, weil mein altes Samsung-Tablet diese hatte.
Wer hat denn Empfehlungen für ne Foto-App, die diese Funktionen beinhalten?
In gefühlt 37 Foto-Blogs habe ich gelesen, dass die neue Version der Leica-App auf dem Telefon nun einen "Artist Look" hat. Auf Knopfdruck haben die Fotos dann den Look von Starfotograf Greg Williams. (Greg wer?) Das PreSet richtet sich an alle, "… die ein authentisches, filmisches Bildgefühl auf ihrem Smartphone suchen." Was für eine Grütze.
Ich habe lieber meinen eigenen Artist Look, dazu muss ich keinen speziellen Knopf drücken.

Kennt ihr die neue #FotoApp? Ziemlich schön, ziemlich minimalistisch, kein Like-Wettbewerb (man sieht Anzahl Likes der Bilder von anderen nicht), maximal drei vorgegebene Tags (Genres) pro Bild und etwas Text. Mir gefällt die App und das Niveau der Bilder ist bisher hoch.

It's telling that the main complaint I see about #FotoApp on here is that hashtags are limited to three per post, and you have to pick from their options. Wait until those folks realize nobody can see how many followers they have 😉 These are plusses, IMO -- like the absence of ads/suggested posts, they signal that the platform is better suited for sharing than for promotion. I'm liking it so far, and I'm cautiously optimistic that the developers don't ruin it at some point.
If you miss the days when Instagram was more about photos with friends and less about reels and insane growth, #FotoApp might be for you. #photography

Some of my IG contacts are moving to FotoApp, which SOUNDS good -- chrono feed, no ads, no cropping -- but I'm interested to learn what my smart photo-oriented fedi friends have to say about it. Anyone have experience with Foto?

Je testais #fotoapp ce midi et… bon y a quelques bugs à la con genre il pensait que l’URL de mon site était pas valide alors que ben… si en fait, mais au delà de ça…, on ne peut pas (encore) publier autrement qu’en passant par son app de téléphone.
Je trouve ça absurdement pas malin que ce ne soit pas disponible depuis un ordi. Je suis prêt à parier que la majorité des photographes travaillent et exportent leur photo sur un ordi et que donc publier sur son mobile ça rend le process mega relou.
