Hasn't really happened so far.
We've been doing this for 5 years and it seemed reasonable to try a new approach to appeal to and reach people. If you don't want it to be all narcs and bots or strangers... Be proactive and invite your friends and help them get on here!!! A big part of #FPM is we are giving you a ton of resources that are online and offline in multiple languages to share with your friends, person-to-person in a way designed to avoid narcs and bots!
You still need an invite to sign up here, and we arn't going to allow narcs to bad bots (fun bots like @againbot @punkhousememebot are great).
As it is Fediverse Punk Month, we're especially happy to present this interview with @ktownhardcorefest about their intention to move away from Meta platforms.
