How much of Derek's & George's masculine entitlement is simply taken-for-granted by the script? This all dates from over twenty years ago, after all. Derek is taken to task by the 'Nazi', but George seems - so far into the series - to come out of it with boots well-shined.

George goes into a childish sulk after Meredith - clearly fragile and vuolnerable - breaks down on him, and he subsequently refuses to accept her (unnecessary) apology. Izzy's taking his side in the ensuing feud is nasty, and goes some way to explaining her relationship with the main creep in the show.

Started binge-watching 'Grey's Anatomy' recently. Some thoughts.
Most of the male characters are toxic - and I include both George and Derek. Meredith asks Derek to leave her alone on several occasions, but he keeps coming back and he keeps causing her pain. Bad, bad, bad.
