I should give #flashrom a bit attention here in the fediverse, because it helped me repairing two graphic cards, with a soic8/sop8-clip:
One was a crashing #fake #nvidia #gt730 (in real now a #gt520, i use in a Dell r210 II and only working there thanks to legacy gpu bios). The other card is a real gt730 where I tried to rip of the uefi-bios-part, to make it work in the dell server. Didn't work, but thanks to #flashrom 1.2 self compiled on #raspberrypi, it now is working in other computers again.
Also the command "truncate -s <target-flashchip-size> <copy-of-bios-image>" in bash is very helpful to pad an original bios-image to fit to same size as the bios-chip.
You have to activate SPI-mode on raspberry and connect jumpercables as shown in the second link.
