If you’re confused by what @wendynather means by “helpy”, observe Corrie “helping” to hold down the stack of cards I’d really like to practice my calligraphy on.
#CatsOfMastodon #helpy
For example, telling someone a specific paragraph confused you & suggesting how to improve it. That is helpful not helpy. Or if you know of previous articles making the point better, do supply links which could be added to the post! Only suggesting these articles exist is '#helpy'. I deeply appreciate people being helpful. But 'helpy' is pure frustration. 2/2
On my way to speak at #HelPy meetup on exploratory unit testing. There is a theme to stuff I talk about now and it seems to be that the bar for ‘testing’ can be too low. I know weird things of things I’ve tested. Too many don’t know even the basics. Learning is at the heart of #ExploratoryTesting.
