Deliberately put myself behind on tonights anime, because I wanted to finish the Hitoribocchi no Marumaruseikatsu manga. What an absolute gem of a story. I loved the anime, but the 4-koma manga finished Bocchi's story in a heartfelt and positive way. There's unfortunately no official translation available, but I hope to be able to buy it one day.

It kinda just hit me during this scene in Episode 9, but Yoka looks a bit like a slightly older Hitori Bocchi. Same hair color, same eye color, same uniform colors.

In 2019, Takahashi voiced Oshie-sensei in #hitoribocchinomarumaruseikatsu, a new and nervous teacher who tries her best but often makes a fool of herself, especially around Nako.

Given who is in my profile picture, it would have probably been more expected of me to start reading the other manga with a protagonist (nick)named Bocchi.

The reason I'm not doing that, despite really wanting to, is for two reasons. Firstly, I feel like Bocchi the Rock benefits a lot from animation (although I haven't read the manga, so I can't make a fair comparison), and secondly, I don't see Hitoribocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu getting a season 2 at this point, while I fully expect to see more of Bocchi the Rock sooner or later.

Been reading through Hitoribocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu lately, as I've seen the anime some years ago, but there's more that the anime didn't adapt.

I found this moment really funny, so I just wanted to share it. This series has made me laugh out loud a few times, even in manga form.

I hope we haven't forgotten the first bocchi. You know, the one who likes natto on her rice.

2019 gave Kito a bit of unluck, though, as she voiced Aru in #hitoribocchinomarumaruseikatsu. One of Hitori's classmates, Aru tried her best to present herself as trendy, cool, and reliable, none of which she actually has in her day to day life. Kito has a similar performance with Aru to some of her previous roles but is still able to make the zannen girl unique in her body of work.

The next year in 2019, Tanaka played Sunao in #hitoribocchinomarumaruseikatsu. The first friend to the OG Bocchi, Sunao could be harsh on the surface but proved herself to be a caring and loyal friend, reflected in Tanaka's direct delivery.
