I'm building a second "Minionmobile" prop for my "Minions at Work" photocomics which I'm doing for these days. Almost finished. I just need to extend the roof supports to accommodate the larger figure (the golf cart I started with is about 1/10th scale, the figures 1/6th). Lots more info in the photo's alt text. The original white Minionmobile which has served me for years, is in the background. The new one is a modified golf-cart panted a warm orange with redish-brown seats. An action figure in sleeveless white jumpsuit (the Minions At Work uniform) sits in the driver's seat. The new vehicle is marked with the number "3," the universal visual science fiction code for "there are more than one of these, even if we just built one. There are at least three, and if you buy that, there could be a hundred, right?" The joke being that I actually built two. The trouble with this is that it looks almost TOO good to fit the MAW aesthetic. I really need to weather and dirty it up. You can also see that I need to cut and extend the metal roof supports about an inch to allow for the larger figure. The seats have already been elevated, and a cutout made in the dash to give a little more foot room. This thing is very undersized, but cramming the larger figures into it gives me a "clown car" feel that plays into the humor of the strip. EVERYTHING the Minions use, from their uniforms to their vehicles, has to be kind of off-spec or inferior in a way that could probably get them killed. "Sooner or later, EVERYONE ends up working for the forces of Evil."
