Another reason to love #Electron: I now have various bits of Firefox UI impinging on Element. #hurrumph
(I don't love Electron.)
I wish #genealogy companies would try to be less annoying.
> You have new memories of your relatives
Are they trying to hypnotise me? Is this a command?
No, #FamilySearch, I do not have "new memories" of my relatives! You might have newly-available archival records relating to them, and you might've called your stupid software component the "memories" search tool or somesuch bollocks, but there's no need to phrase it in quite such a creepy way.
Yeah, sadly. Most of you don't understand my polls.
The correct answer is: Your support company is not as important as making sure you get your money's worth out of your workers. So keep them at their desks until it's home time, and then they can sort this out on their own time even though it is work-related.
The guy actually rang at 17:15
𝗠𝗲: "Tell the cheeky caaant to call back in the morning, we're going home now!"
The support team ignored me and fixed him. #Hurrumph
I'm thoroughly annoyed at a couple of proprietary web APIs that I'm trying to work with. Why on Earth I let myself get started with them I don't know! It's the old "but it'll save time and effort if you don't have to host a thing yourself" — which is sort of true, until you hit the wall of the service not doing a thing you need it to do, at which point there's absolutely no way to progress, and the only option is to rant about it here. #hurrumph
@MunkyBone Cough, splutter, fell, it fell on the floor. #Hurrumph
