In the middle of a heated conversation with Hailey's dad, she retaliates against him, as she proudly declares that she likes girls and that nothing him and her mum can do will change that. This prompts an angry response from him to which Veronica comes to her defense, but that prompts bigoted comments from the man. Before things can escalate, Hailey hangs up, telling her dad with a heavy heart to never call again.

Frustrated, Vero puts her hands on her head, screaming and asking what the hell is wrong with Hailey's father.
Hailey just sighs, talking about how at least her mom is not at the same level.

Veronica puts a hand on Hailey's shoulder, even if the ginger woman claims she has gotten used to it, Vero still wants to comfort her, find a way to make her feel better.
Hailey proposes a hypnosis session, since they haven't had one in a while, to which Veronica accepts and tells her to lie down on her shoulder if that helps her relax.

Veronica just started the induction, consisting of her gently patting her subjects head as her other hand's finger draws closer and closer to her sub's forehead. Hailey's already dropping, prompting the hypnotist's tease, which the ginger woman tries to deny.
Vero wonders if she's gonna make her sub drop by tapping her on the forehead or a powerful fingersnap... perhaps...
