Not offensive security, but backup shareable info libraries. I have one running an internet-in-a-box ( #iiab) instance that hosts kiwix for Wikipedia and other offline sites and a calibre library.

@jonah since https://internet-in-a-box.org is real, and distributes #Kiwix among many other similarly useful offline (or locally broadcasted) things, I promise you won't be the only one.

I've built a few. #Wikipedia in English is only 102GB, so many other things are available too, you definitely won't be the only one!

Just found out about Internet in a Box, for all of you off grid library fans out there! You can buy their devices, or click through to their FAQ and set it up on your own machine, a Linux laptop with a 12v dc to dc charge plug sounds ideal. It's a continuation of the One Laptop per Child project and has great tools for off line wikipedia, medical, education, small business, peer to peer networks and more.

It's great to be downloading all these things, but making them available (regionally) will be important, too.

I am building a bunch of little Raspberry Pi4s with #IIAB layered on, so I can (hopefully) make many resources available in my area when the current regime's incompetence starts balkanizing and destroying the global internet.

I am slowly working up to the point on a couple of projects where I think they can be mashed up.

A #meshtastic node built into a guitar amp.

A #cigarboxguitar with an #internetinabox #IIAB node that streams what you are playing...as well as serving up your own curated bits of the internet.

A custom #cigarboxguitar with a vplayer screen https://vplayer.readthedocs.io/en/latest/videoPlayer.html playing ...whatever. Maybe the time has come to play the entirety of #DarkSideOfTheMoon on a #cbg while it shows #WizardOfOz??

@tinker I am not sure if you mentioned this before, but a great easy to use way to archive your open books collections , audio, and other material so others can get at is the amazing InternerInABox https://github.com/iiab/iiab

Make your collections while you can, offer them up where ever you can.
