The goal of the Open Climate Campaign is to make the open sharing of research outputs the norm in climate science via advocacy, implementing strong OA policies, coalition building, a policy lab, and an unbinding lab. An open access policy should include a pathway to immediate open access such as preprints, green open access, diamond open access, and have an open license.The policy should also include an open license for research data, adhere to the FAIR and CARE principles, and allow for the deposit in a data repository. If we are going to solve the world's biggest problems, then the knowledge about them must be open.
