Back in 2017 I bought a #Surly #Straggler frameset. My plan was to lace a #Shimano #Alfine 11 speed #internalGearHub, and combine it with an #FSA Metropolis two-speed internal gear crank. I bought the components, I even got these cool #Jtek barend shifters. But then I lost steam and never put them together. It's just been sitting in my garage ever since.

Yup. I really like the rear rack, even if it's not the same color as the rest of the bike. 😃

Well-meaning people have told me to sell it and get a better model. I think I already have a decent model (plus, I do have my other bike). I love it that's #InternalGearHub and light. I just need to learn to ride it well. And there's nowhere you can buy a rear rack like that. Not around here, anyway.

Here are photos of #InternalGearHub (IGH) -- there is no derailleur.

I just realized now that what I saw was the giant hub for the recumbent's electric pedal assist. That's why it was huge. My photo of the recumbent bike is too pixelated. Can't really see the details there anymore.

But the owner did say that it's #IGH with #PedalAssist.

Finally got to a bike shop that fixes #InternalGearHub. Had to travel to #Marikina.

Can't be done in a day. 🤷‍♀️ Had to leave it at the shop -- the mechanic's busy with other #bikes.

At least it's in good hands. Tim, the Yoda of #IGH, as I like to refer to him, comes very veeeeeery highly recommended. 👌 After meeting him and learning what may need to be done, I'm not so worried about my li'l #bike anymore.
