Today I made a new “thing” to hang outside my home door.

The kanji means irasshaimase which translate in welcome.

I used a driftwood that was in one of my drawers for about a year.

I carved it using hand tools only.

I waxed the body and painted the kanji and the background with acrylic.

Let the paint dries then is ready for the door.
