Last year, at pretty much the same moment, I was posting a picture of repo activity on GitHub, as I was active in a submission for IROS2023.
Guess what ? đź‘€
One of my favorite papers from IROS 2023 was "Navlie: A Python Package for State Estimation on Lie Groups". I enjoyed getting to chat with the author and am excited because the package provides #Python implementations of estimators (including Kalman filters). I look forward to following the development of the package

@jixing will present our work on multi-modal failure compensation in perception at the Frontiers in Vision & Learning workshop (https://arxiv.org/abs/2110.02549)
and
my student Julia Chen from @cvg will present our new mixed-reality robot interface at the mixed-reality workshop (stay tuned for video + arxiv in the next days)
📯 Short paper submissions for the IROS workshop “Learning Meets Model-based Methods for Manipulation and Grasping” are now open: https://lnkd.in/dXCtvpXH
Submit by July 17th and join the workshop in Detroit!
Financial support for workshop paper authors from underrepresented groups will be announced after decision notification.

@brennansv @DeepDishSwift Great advice. Thanks.
I am thinking it will be something more local to start off… more community focused… more beginner focused.
We will see where it goes from there.
Still, we are getting some attention lately from other tech corners. #IROS 2023 will be here this year.
Hope to announce something soon.
