Nowadays, I (and by extension, my wife too) only go to Low Yat, if at all, just to actually go to Sungei Wang (mall) right across the street to visit "old people" stores, cos that's more our type of needs these days rather than GPUs 😂

There's a #Jollibee now tho at Low Yat which I'd only recently tried and found surprisingly decent, so that'd be the place I hit up if I'm waiting ~30 mins for my glasses to be done at Sungei Wang haha.

I honestly wasn’t expecting much, it’s just all fast food in the end, but #Jollibee is actually really good. I really enjoyed the spicy fried chicken, my wife also enjoyed both her chicken and spaghetti (spaghetti, that can be gotten either spicy or sweet, in a fast food joint is genius), and the free Peach Mango Pie we got also surprised me by how much I liked it. I know this is not a good example of Filipino food cos, again, it’s fast food - but we really need more Filipino cuisine here cos I’m sure they’re bangers yet we only really (commonly) have Thai and Indonesian food here as far as our neighbours’ cuisine goes.

I can't tell if it was in reference to the donation/assistance effort or in general. Either way, the parent company of #Jollibee, "Jollibee Food Corporation", or "JFC Holdings" (for their global expansion), owns other Filipino fastfood chains like #Chowking

Since I'm a dual citizen or CA/USA, I'm looking at apartments in the GTA in case we have to leave the country (I'd rather not leave, but I prefer being prepared and Toronto is one of the few places my spouse would like in Canada) - saw one that was overpriced and way too small so I won't consider it.

But it is close to a Jollibee. And a couple of lechon places.
