I made a dice vault with some of my Celtic key pattern washi tape, an oak and walnut inlaid lid, and gold leafed legs for a giveaway to celebrate Silverleaf Dice hitting 2100 followers on Instagram.

Dice vault (a long, thin box) with sides covered in a Celtic key pattern in blues, red, and metallic gold, attached gold-leafed neoclassical/nouveau-style legs, and a lid with a Celtic key pattern inlay in walnut and white oak against a background of off-wite handmade paper with fibrous inclusions (elevated three-quarter view looking).

A small square (25mm and about 3mm thick) is carefully wrapped in a bright printed Celtic key or maze pattern in purple, red, and metallic gold. It sits on one edge next to a roll of washi tape with the same pattern against a background of off-white fibrous handmade paper.

And the Royal Squared Spirals variant!

A piece of fabric adorned with a Celtic key / maze pattern that looks kind of like spirals but square in blues, red, and gold lying flat with a marbled blue 20-sided die with metallic copper numbers.

The other Celtic design fabrics in my collection so far.

Four pieces of fabric arranged like shingles: a field of spirals in shades of blue, a Celtic key / maze pattern in an almost-black on blue, the same key / maze pattern on a warm brown, a different key /maze pattern (like squared spirals) in dark on a minty green. A bamboo body pen sits at an angle across the stack (for scale).

Here is a closer view of the third of the new Celtic Art washi tape designs, an extra-wide (45mm) key pattern I refer to as “squared spirals.”

A roll of wide wash tape (45mm) stands on its end with the tape unspooling to the left to show the design, a Celtic key/maze pattern on a deep purple background is outlined in gold with red and pale blue accents.

The polyhedra I have been making are hollow. I thought I would experiment with putting lights inside of them. I designed a quick triangular key pattern for the latticework.

This uses a simple circuit made with a Chibitronics Circuit Sticker, a 1216 coin cell, some copper tape and, some washi tape.

Please enjoy pondering my icosa-orb.

Process video coming soon!

Most of my studio time lately has been doing design and modeling work at a computer. I had a couple hours this weekend. So, I made this Celtic key pattern pendant with iridescent acrylic and walnut veneer.

A small rectangular pendant hangs from a gold chain draped over a piece of white marble against a white background. A thin dark wooden veneer of a Celtic key pattern with a squared-off spiral in the middle sits on a reflective background. Each photo is from a slightly different angle. From this angle, the background looks burnt orange.A small rectangular pendant hangs from a gold chain draped over a piece of white marble against a white background. You may have noticed that I love the knotwork, key patterns and spirals of Celtic art. I had a neat idea for another way to share that. I turned one of my key patterns into some fun Celtic key pattern washi tape. The test run came out great.

I am told one can never have too many little bags. I made this small pyramid bag with some of my blue Celtic key pattern fabric (“In the Key of Woad”) as a holiday gift for my niece. I used the new vacuum tray on the laser to cut all the pieces precisely.

Another pouch made with some of the green “squared spirals” key pattern fabric I designed. Lovely stunt dice by Silverleaf Dice.

A pouch made from brown (vegan) leather with engraved black Celtic spiral patterns and monochromatic Celtic key pattern printed fabric sits on a cross-sectional slice of a tree branch with some sparkly purple dice and a Renaissance-era Italian stiletto stuck into the wood. The background is an out-of-focus crinkly blue paper.

I thought a simple dice bag styled after a Japanese azuma bukuro bento/market bag would be fun. The fabric is 100% cotton sateen, custom-printed with one of my Celtic key pattern designs. I cut the fabric on the laser using the new vacuum tray, which was great for the precision.

Several people asked me about larger deck boxes to accommodate 100 card M:tG sleeved commander decks in the same style as the boxes I made over the holidays. So, I made this one.

Laser-cut cherry plywood box with a slide-on lid sized to fit a 100 sleeved card Magic: the Gathering deck. A rune mark is engraved on the front and a Celtic key pattern design is engraved on the left side. Both engraves are filled with a pale green glow-in-the-dark acrylic.

I redesigned my Spirals kirigami bookmark to make it less fragile. While I was at it, I made a handful and a few of the two different Celtic key pattern designs. Several people have asked. So, I put them up in the shop on the Evermore Studio site ( evermorestud.io/shop/ ), individually and in sets.

After my quick Mastodon logo pins came out so well, I was inspired to make some wood inlay pins with variants of a couple of my Celtic key pattern designs. These were a little more fiddly but, I think they came out pretty well. Maple with walnut inlay, sanded to 650 grit, wipe-on poly finish. Bottle cap for scale.

Two different angular Celtic key pattern designs made of walnut inlaid into a squares of maple with rounded corners, ~3mm thick with pin backings attached. Two are 30mm square with one design also as a 25mm square.

These Magic: the Gathering deck boxes were a little quick holiday wizardry for the niblings. The glow-in-the-dark engrave fills worked out pretty well.

Three boxes sized to hold a deck of Magic: the Gathering cards, each made from a different hardwood ply: walnut, maple and, cherry. Each has a large initial engraved on the front (C, M and, B) in a serif display font and a Celtic key pattern panel on the left side. The engraves are filled so that they glow in the dark (glowing a little here in dim light).Three boxes sized to hold a deck of Magic: the Gathering cards, each made from a different hardwood ply: walnut, maple and, cherry.
