A hand holding a short section of thermal receipt paper. It has a log of entries that read as such:

   Fri, 13 Mar, 2026
[23:54:36] Connected to #testing on irc.lucy.bz
[23:54:47] ety: oh hi!
[23:55:04] ety: here is some text and stuff printy
[23:55:13] ety: but even more juicy is an image, you want to try it? I know you do
[23:55:17] ety: https://i.ety.onl/xaFE4/bIGADETA41.png/raw

Immediately below the last line of the IRC log (containing the link), a small graphic taking about a third of the width of the paper is printed.

The graphic is mostly black, but contains a grainy image of a person looking off to the side, with a hand up by their head.

Let's bake support for launching directly into #lucybz IRC straight into the VMU!

#hexeditor #dreamcast #vmu #lucybz #irc

A hex editor interface running on the dreamcast (with nice crisp characters in VGA mode).

The screen is filled with columns of repeating hex characters in the center, with addresses to the left and string equivalents to the right.

The cursor is currently at offset 0x00336, which is the beginning of the irc.lucy.bz hostname, now entered into memory.

#irc #lucybz #corteximplant #dreamcast #planetweb

A smallish Sony CRT sitting on top of an equipment rack. On the display is the PlanetWeb IRC client running on a dreamcast.

The client is connected to the IRC server irc.lucy.bz as the user etydc. The UI is simple, with a white-on-blue user listing on the left side, a few lines of IRC text in the top right, and bottom third of the screen taken up for the on-screen keyboard with its very bubbly buttons typical of the era.
