Spotted this memorial bench today and found it quite poignant. Perhaps an 'old friend' commissioned it?

A wooden bench on grass with a white building in the distance. Carved into the seat back are the words "1944 ~ Brendan Clark ~ 2019". Underneath it says "What a time it was... Preserve your memories". The arm rests also have carvings. The left one (as we look at the bench) says "Old friends" and the right says "Bookends". All the words are from the song Bookends by Simon & Garfunkel. Presumably Brendan Clark, or whoever commissioned the bench, was a fan. Either way, it's a touching tribute to the deceased.
