« Deux Sœurs » est un des plus beaux films jamais réalisés sur la colère, cet affect si banal dans la vie comme au cinéma, et pourtant si peu pris au sérieux, sinon par les films de Mike Leigh, et ici avec une radicalité nouvelle. Le film en montre l’intime vérité comme jamais : la colère dont le noyau de hantise est de terreur, l’intolérable vérité de la vie qui est irrémédiable et la culpabilisation d’autant plus infinie qu’elle est sans faute ni expiation.
