What could be more Victorian than #Minton #tiles? These red and yellow tiles, with their grape-vine pattern, were originally laid during Sydney Smirke's restoration of the Chapter House in York Minster, 1844-45 https://victorianweb.org/art/design/ceramics/minton/34.html

A rondel with vine leaves surrounding a central pair, with two little bunches of grapes. Teracotta background colouring with yellow for the leaves, also for the circle's double outline, and leaves and flowers at the edges. Always suitable in this context, suggesting communion.
