For the Minnesota MTB family, the 2025 XC race calendar is out!

Hopefully I can make it to a few more of these races this year.
Remember the Chi-Chi's Salsa Series mountain bike races in Minnesota back in the 1990's? I'm probably the only one here who does :)
Anyway, back in the day I was the series leader for a short bit and was given this jersey to wear. Still have it hanging in my closet! I should really take this thing out for a group ride one of these days.
We have had a lot of cool, wet, rainy days here in #Minnesota the past couple of weeks. While that has sucked for mountain biking, it was very good for morel mushroom growing.
Day two of riding the awesome trails at Split Rock Wilds.
Unfortunately had to cut the ride short when I started to hear thunder from a surprise afternoon storm. I picked up the pace as much as I could, but didn't quite make it out of the trails before the heavy rain caught up with me.
Still had a great time and got in a good 22 mile #mtb ride.
Just finished up a wonderful 17 mile #mtb ride at the Split Rock Wilds trails along the North Shore of Lake Superior in #Minnesota.
I LOVE these trails. I know they are not for everyone, but they suite my style well.
It's nice that there is almost enough daylight after work now to get in a quick one hour #fatbike ride.
Hey all you #Minnesota Mountainbikers, the 2023 #MTB race schedule has been announced! How's your training going? :)
I always hate it when my ride doesn't get uploaded to Strava.
At least it was still an excellent ride on a beautiful day and I have photos to prove it!
I decided to hold off on my #fatbike ride today until it "warmed up" this afternoon. And by "warmed up" I mean I waited for it to get to about 3°F ( -16°C) :)
Still, it was a beautiful day for a 2.5 hour ride on the singletrack fatbike trails in the woods.
It was so nice to get out on the #fatbike trails while there was daylight! Thank you weekend. Although the days are getting longer, it is still too dark after work for a ride without lights.
The trails were as beautiful as I have ever seen them. These photos don't even come close to showing just how nice it was out there today.
Enjoy!
With a few inches of new heavy wet snow followed by freezing rain, tonight's #fatbike ride was quite interesting and very slow going for the first lap.
