So, that happened yesterday: The #MudInspector snuck down into the basement, where we keep a huge 12 kg sack of dry dog food. She then stuck her snout (and head) into the sack and just ate until there was no space left in her tummy. Evidence for the brazen theft was left in form of dry dog food everywhere around on the floor.

She then made her way up with an already giant round belly (we saw her coming up but didn’t realise what happened), and an hour later, my wife, in good faith, gave her a full portion dinner on top, which she also ate, albeit with difficulties. She then spent the rest of the evening and night in a food coma, just interrupted by burping and farting and urgent runs into the garden from which she came back at 4:30 totally covered in dirt and smell because all the overflow energy was channeled into digging the garden up, which led to me having to take her (and a huge bucket of water and shampoo) outside to clean her in the dark and then clean the whole living room from dirt and smell. All before 5am on a Saturday after 4 hours sleep…

She‘s only 5 months, and she’s already the most retriever Retriever that you can imagine.

Have a dog they said, it’s so relaxing and good for your mental well-being, they said. You’ll sleep like a baby, they said.
