Here are the glow-in-the-dark pins from my new pin series that were first up for sale at Ponyville Ciderfest 2023! I liked how the designs turned out, and the details never quite translate the same exact way when the art becomes a pin. But they sold a lot better than I expected, which I’m very grateful for.

#mlp #nightmaremoon A commission from several years ago. This one is a 15" x 22" picture done in colored pencil, marker pen, technical pen, and at the end some white gouache paint. The working surface is Strathmore 500 Series Vellum Bristol Board.

I am particularly happy with how the moonlit clouds came out. I put a lot of thought into how I was going to do them, and I tried some new techniques which got me the results I was looking for. I'm hoping the technique will also work during daylight pictures. It's not faster, but it gives much more satisfying results than older techniques have.

Repost time! (Again, I'm sorry, but until I get my most urgent problem solved I'll be just reposting stuff published on other sites) this sketch is 10 months old. It was Intended to be my last year's Halloween entry. But this style is quite complicated to do quick and I ended up leaving it on hiatus. When I'm frustrated I get myself a bit into it and make a little progress. So far I have #NightMareMoon finished, and I'm about half way on #DayBreaker. In the end, I just did a cute #DerpyHooves dressed as a witch munching her looted candy :flutteryay:

Finished Sketch. After the dummy dolls using simple shapes for the initial poses and measures, I start to draw and correct the poses until I get a clear picture of what I want to do.

Lineart. After the final Sketch, I do the clean lineart, I do some corrections on the way too, as pencil sketches tend to look better for some reason than some clean lines.

Nightmare Moon finished. Now it's time to finish Day Breaker.

Final art for Halloween. I did a quick sketch by hand on paper, I liked it, so I made it digitally to publish it on last year's Halloween. Derpy sure it's cute!

The Nightmare spoke as she stepped closer, her dark dulcet voice making plain the power of the Alicorn's pernicious, ancient magics; and the Batmare couldn't shake the disgust she felt at the similarities it had to her own voice when in more affluent company.
"Something something* darkness, Batmare. Something something something* born and moulded."
The Batmare suppressed a shudder as the Nightmare did go on, “Blah blah blah* not so different, Batmare. Quite unfitting, considering your _true_ name, ISN'T IT??!”
