Google is evil and all that jazz but holy shit Google Groups is STILL a better tool than Discord for this kinda communication.
19 years later and it's public and still there (somehow). (old example I just ran across... from #oddpost dev).

Kinda neat reading about AJAX/JSON origins.
Also this company/product (Oddpost) sounded like it was neat (for what it was achieving at the time. Also neat enough to where Yahoo bought them out and it became their replacement webmail interface).
