SHOW2023 - short for Simultaneously Hermaphroditic Organisms Workshop - was hybrid last week @vuamsterdam (co-organised with @YumiNakadera) and contained great presentations, useful discussion sessions, a wonderful boat dinner (Smidtje), and a lovely, ethically produced 100% natural cotton bag for participants. Here is a 17 sec impression of my two-week visiting professorship at #LEEC, Université #Sorbonne #Paris Nord (hosted by Cristina Lorenzi). What you do not see is my #socialtransfers seminar, discussions with PhDs/researchers about experiments, collaborative grants and manuscripts and the cool #hermaphrodites they work on #Ophryotrocha. All-in-all a welcome change of pace and scenery (despite riots and public transport and garbage-pickup strikes).
