I was just reminded that today it is two years ago I left the hospital following a bladder removal and receiving my #ostomy.

I could barely walk at the time, and had no idea if I could ever get used to that bag on my stomach.

It was not two weeks ago that during a 6km “quick” walk, my wife had to ask if I could please walk a little slower as she had a hard time keeping up 🫣
The bag and taking care of the ostomy is so natural now, I don’t even think about it!

what kind of barrier do you use? Are you in the right one? If you experience frequent leaks, you may not be! Also, if your body has had significant changes since you got your stoma, you may need to switch things up. Here's a great article...flat vs convex?! What do you think?

I had one of those days that seemed pretty simple on the surface — wake up and run Wharf to Wharf Race in Santa Cruz. But when I got up, I discovered my strength coach, Menachem Brodie, had dropped an episode we recorded on his podcast. Today, as I ran the roads that were a key part of my early journey on the bike and later through my triathlon and half-marathon training, it felt like things were coming full circle.
