The Wind Phone is an unconnected phone booth in Otsuchi, Japan where visitors hold one-way conversations with dead loved ones. It was created by Itaru Sasaki in 2010 to honor his cousin's memory. After the 2011 earthquake and tsunami killed tens of thousands, it opened to the public and received over 30,000 visitors so far.
