Pondering if I should try or not the #Firefox configs from the #PhoenixProject (codeberg.org/celenity/Phoenix).

On one hand, I already use #IronFox on my phone and tablet and, in general, I don't have major issues. On the other hand, that adds another layer of complexity to my setup, besides hunting how to unbreak those websites that inevitably will break.

From the #PhoenixProject, most characters have big similarities to many people I’ve worked with, and even with myself. I have learned quite some things, and keep reading through the pile.

Let’s improve the way we work in IT!

Best laugh this week:

> [books like #PhoenixProject, #UnicornProject, #InvestmentsUnlimited, etc.] all sound like novels that aliens wrote because they've only been able to decrypt the traffic from #LinkedIn.

Maybe the #enshittification concept should include the idea that IT work needs to be controlled like physical factory operations. No, neither need to be controlled by the managerial class.

A good quote from the is to create a culture that simultaneously fosters experimentation, learning from failure, and understanding that repetition and practice are the prerequisites to mastery.

I'm reading the Phoenix Project at the moment and I'm genuinely stressed out by chapter 5. I will keep reading for my own sanity. Also, I know the book is about ten years old now but did people really have outbursts like that at work in real life? Or is it just that I'm a stiff upper lipped Brit who finds loud confrontation a bit embarrassing and, at the least, very unprofessional? #devops #phoenixproject

I realise I'm a bit late to the party on this one, but I just finished reading 'Escaping the Build Trap' by @melissaperri and of course now I'm wishing I'd read it waaay sooner! πŸ’₯

This is now on my list of essential reading for anyone involved in software delivery, along with #PhoenixProject, #TeamTopologies and #Accelerate.
