I really appreciate that #Prime4 added the scouts to help you find certain items, had the NPCs actually do something, and integrated most maps into gameplay/stories instead of this inexplicable map room.
Also, it is so damn pretty.
Definitely the easiest of the series, however.
#Prime4 complete. Not at 100%, but something like 97%.
Definitely shorter than the original, and not as tough on normal difficulty.

Upgraded Ice Shot a second time, acquired and upgraded Thunder Shot.
Found the shrine I suspect has the second thunder shot upgrade, but need the spider ball.
Game, I have had the psychic grapple beam for all of about five minutes… Why are you trying to make me use it in a boss fight?
Today I learned there’s a second upgrade for the fire shot, which implies the existence of a second upgrade for the ice shot and I just got its first.
Based on the shrines I’ve seen, I will need the electric shot to get it.
Oh, I have have heat-resistant armor now.
And now I can freeze things!

(While the renaming/reclassifying of classic powers to “psychic” is a little annoying, I do appreciate that we are getting things in a completely different order than I am used to.)
1. I suppose mutagenic rain making enemies stronger is a dramatic improvement over things just becoming stronger.

So the worst part of the game is really just collecting crystals. They do make sure you don't have to collect 100% of them to finish the game, you can actually ignore them until the very end like I did. It doesn't seem to be well communicated in the game so I suspect this will really be what kills the game for a lot of people. Other than that, with 100% items, the final boss fight is cake, I kinda wish it was more challenging, but it is very badass. 2/2
