If there are, I’d like to hear your opinions on how to handle Python 3.11 deprecating audioop.
I implemented that module in pure Python in the past to add support for pypy (and contributed it back, but the pypy folks have done a lot of optimization since then). I think that would be too slow to be worthwhile for most people though.
Alternatively, numpy would perform better but makes installing a lot more annoying.
