This shawl really grew a lot on my blocking mats! 😃

This is a SW yarn, so I washed it with a regular load of laundry, and also put it in the dryer on low. After blocking, the swatch size grew in the width and shrunk in height! Now I can start working out my grading spreadsheet for the pattern 😃

My Gothic Flamingo shawl is progressing nicely. The third ball of yarn has been attached, and the rows are very clearly getting shorter now! Have a lovely Friday 😃

My swatch for the new sweater project has been made. Onwards to washing this gorgeous RMR Yarn Co. Zihuatanejo DK yarn! 😃

The gorgeous yellow yarn that RMR Yarn Co. send me, really reminds me of the yellow of canary birds. In Dutch, they're called "kanarie", hence the working title for this sweater project. I really can't describe how rich and bright this color is, in the sun it positively glows! 😊

I've balled up the yarn from RMR Yarn Co. to knit my swatch. For shawl projects I usually don't swatch, but to get a garment that fits, with a pattern based on my numbers, I really can't get around it 😆

You may recall that I posted last month that Yax from RMR Yarn Co. asked me if I would also like to design a sweater using their yarn. Well folks, I've received the yarn, and it's absolutely gorgeous. I really can't describe how rich and bright this color is! 😊

Last week, while I was taking pictures of my WIP's, Pimento decided that this shawl was looking awfully soft, and perfect to lie on. He did not damage the WIP in any way, probably because I recently clipped his nails 😄

I've weighted the remaining yarn on the second ball, and it's almost time to start the decreases. Once I have 52 g left, that will be it for the rows with increases! 😃

With this shawl, I was aiming to make most of my available yarn. Well, I've been talking with Yax from RMR yarn Co., and she offered to send some more of this yarn to make the shawl a tad bigger 😊

With this project, I've been happily knitting along. I always very much enjoy those projects that combine easy, mindless knitting with some bits to keep it interesting. This particular shawl construction has the benefit of combining both in every row! 😃

For my new RMR Yarn Co. project, I also decided on a pattern name: Gothic Flamingo. This color is such a wonderful deep and vibrant pink, exactly what I imagine a flamingo would go for if it were gothic! 😁
