I love DS Rose of Ultramarine! It's movement and granulation is stunning. The tricky part is finding a grounding pigment that doesn't take over and I think I found that in DS Black Tourmaline Genuine!

This is a watercolor atmospheric landscape painting. In this composition, the rocky land mass is slanted lowest on the left and going a little higher going right. The colors used are Rose of Ultramarine and Black Tourmaline Genuine. The darkest value is a long the horizon line and smears into the rough terrain combining with both medium and light values to create depth and dimension. The left of the foreground leans more black and the right is more reddish purple (the mass tone of Rose of Ultramarine). As the pigments are pulled up into the atmosphere the granulating nature of the Rose of Ultramarine really shines as it splits into pink and blue as it's diluted. Granulating bits of Black Tourmaline Genuine can be seen hovering in the atmosphere is well. The lightest values are in the atmosphere. Grasses reach up from the horizon line.
