This was a fun attempt at rotoscoping Simba's strutting walk cycle into my lion sona's walk. I love how it came out BUT I definitely do plan on redoing it again, this time by actually rough animating my own strut walk cycle instead of tracing over the OG movie footage.

A very spontaneous lil' animation project xD

So originally, I WAS gonna try my hand at animating this from scratch while using Simba's strutting walk cycle as a reference. But nahh I'm on a time sensitive schedule with one of my current comic inking gigs. So to cut down on spenting hella time indulging on this, I decided to do to rotoscope it and draw my sona's curly mane in each frame.

#ThePeasants is great. It really is amazing that this was oil panted #animation. The motion of it is odd, but interesting. The motion has a soft, creamy consistency. Some stutter. But worth what doesnt stutter. But the faces are sooo well done. Not one nuance was lost in the #rotoscope process. Great visuals.

Beyond the paint? A fantastic story of the tragedies of normal life in a small town of long ago Poland. Currently on Netflix.
