The wife had a business dinner tonight and I had a hockey puck of old pizza dough wrapped in the freezer. So tonight's He-Man Bachelor's Supper Club meal was pizza for one. $2 worth of ingredients = a million dollar pizza.

Of all the cooking tools I've ever owned, my Solo Stove Pi Pizza Oven is my hands-down favorite.

I have done something completely sacrilegious to my pizza! I had two dough balls that I had made and not used; I had leftover chili that I had not used… I made a nacho chili pizza and it was absolutely delicious: homemade Neapolitan dough, homemade chili, crushed corn tortilla chips, Monterey Jack and cheddar mix, after it was cooked I topped it with pickled jalapeños! #solostove #solostovepi #cooking #pizza #delicious #food #foodporn #sonycamera #sonya7rv #sony35mm14 #AdobeLightroom

Last night's attempt at New Haven pizza wasn't a total success. They still puffed up like Neapolitans. But they tasted great. So, that's nice. I call them "Sal D.'s Abeetz."

More adventures with our new Solo Stove Pi pizza oven.

After charring the hell out of last week's batch, we've found that the oven temp sweet spot for Neopalitan pies is to preheat on high for 20 minutes, then turn the dial to medium. You still get blazing heat that cooks the pie in 1-2 minutes, but not so blazing that it burns the edges.
