OK I think I managed to beat my nascent #Squaredle addiction by writing a solver in #Rust which recursively walks through the puzzle and then identifies words by comparing against /usr/share/dict/words or similar.

It's not at all optimised (to do it properly I'd abort any walk which couldn't possibly lead to a word) but still in 25 seconds gives me a valid list of words to enter into Squaredle.

Interestingly it couldn't solve my test one. Even the wamerican-insane wordlist was missing "umami"! But it got me almost all the answers and most of the "bonus" words to boot.

Hopefully knowing I can solve them easily will take away the dopamine hit and stop my #ADHD brain getting addicted.
