@lauren #australia is trying the same. IMO there are legitimate concerns about #facebook and social media harms to society (both children and adults) but taking away user control is the opposite of what should be done.
Facebook and social media platforms opaquely push #suggestedcontent, #advertising and curate feeds for users whilst banning unapproved user agents or addons like Unfollow Everything and third party apps.
It truly ignores people's right to #privacy and pseudonymity online.
Update: The latest version of the #Threads app now shows distinct “For You” and “Following” tabs when you tap on the logo. Finally.
By the way, the Instagram app does have a snooze toggle to keep out “suggested content you might see”, but it’s entirely ineffective. 😠

Do these things not even undergo basic QA before being released? 🤨
