This is your gentle reminder to get your cuddles in
or to leave that person, if you’re in a bad relationship.
If love is truly medicine, not love is truly poison.
I’ve witnessed the light go out in someone’s eyes, full teeth-exposed smiles disappear from their face, and protective weight added to their naturally lean body
while in relationship with someone they’re likely meant to learn with, not stay with.
I’ve also been that person..
Yes, all relationships have challenges. All relationships have good times and not so good times.
But if the one you’re in relationship with causes you to shrink yourself, dim your light, or somehow be less then it’s worth taking the time to examine that.
Honor the lessons. Honor yourself. Then take action.
Had I known in past relationships that I would eventually meet Husband and create a life together, I think I would have ended relationships that I knew needed to end much faster.
And/or I wouldn’t have spent so much time grieving when they did end..
Still, I’m grateful for every second of my challenging past because it makes me even more grateful for who and what I have now.
Especially the cuddles before bed, when I wake up, and the ones sprinkled throughout my day just because ♥️✨
