Yay, thanks to @jan being lovely and not shying away from the headache of hosting a forked Mastodon, my instance how has an increased character limit.

This was one of my main bugbears and is going to improve my life. Not having to freaking edit something to squeeze in that one extra character? Yes, please.

OK then. After about 48 hours trying to figure out the nuances of running my own #Mastodon instance, I am wholeheartedly ready to give someone like @jan at #TootIO my money to do it for me😅.

PeerTube I can handle. Mastodon is just out of my depth, and that's OK.

toot.io is down. i feel so naked having no access to my main.

the cool thing is i can still see all of my posts. the bad thing is. they mock me.
