The progression:

Illegal alien brandished a gun and attacked ICE.

White radicalized terrorist brandished a gun, threatened to destroy ICE, and attacked.

Radicalized demonstrator refused to comply and brought it on himself.

Demonstrator who fell for Governor's and Mayor's violent rhetoric sadly put himself in harms way.

It's all the Governor's and Mayor's fault. If they would cooperate, ICE wouldn't need to get violent.

If you have any kind of phobia or trauma around snakes you can't watch Ultimate Note beyond episode 10. After that it's too bad. I'll post if they change to some other drama element in later episodes

I'm beginning to believe someone sat down with a list of phobias and tried to get in as many as possible for this drama! Now we're getting one of the rarer; butterflies.

So far the triggers have been fairly 'light touch', they're shown matter-of-factly rather than gloating on them (like some Hollywood movies do). So there is a chance to stand them, but don't force yourself.

Ok, most C-dramas have some common triggers, and I warn about them when I can. It's not always I notice, because they tend to also be popular storybuilding blocks, and I get too engulfed in the action. Anyway, trigger warning; between ep 5 and 10 of Ultimate Note you can expect parasites, fungus, insects, tryptophobia triggers, and snakes. They really tried to fill the entire bingo card!

To be precise about scaly creatures in Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty there are earlier encounters than ep20, though they are so brief they didn't register on my squickdar. If your reaction is strong you may want to skip the entire mystery 3 since it has snakes in its sub-vignette, and the emperor dreams about them around ep18. The big vignette also hints at scaly stuff - apparently this production löööööves them.
