Despite lurking for years within the dark recesses of the internet, the HeathenStorm website has never been formally “announced” until now. Originally hacked together on a default WordPress install for tour promotion, it has been painstakingly recreated from scratch as a self-contained theme. Ensuring site upgrades and maintenance won’t cause as many headaches in the future, and looking reasonably responsive wherever it’s viewed.

There’ll still be a few glitches here and there, as I tweak and tamper with the templates and fix wordings along the way, but for now it’s where I need it to be. With more robust portal pages for HeathenStorm Productions, Trismegistus Hex, my bass duties in Solstice, and updates from the Orphan film shoot.

The intent is not just to promote what I do, but also to show who I am. Through an independent online presence away from the vagaries of the big sites…

After many seasons since the original EP, the time is right to return to Trismegistus Hex. With a change of focus and line-up from the initial scope, the project will now encompass musical meanderings and experiments beyond the expectations of Ritual Ambience. Yet no less magickal of intent.

The old concepts have been cast aside, and future collaborations are in the works. More strange sounds will emerge in their own time, but for tonight Samhain demands a rite of solo improvisation.

A wander out to the Temple in the Woods on a damp October evening, and the burning of things past.

Wishing the very best of Birthdays to Valr Kjósa. Shadowmother, Stormcrow, and shaker of all things acoustic in Trismegistus Hex. As her special day falls upon the New Moon this year, we are reminded that Gemini season is definitely upon us. Reinforcing the themes of duality present in our work.

Ever creative, Valr has recently contributed to Black Metal projects I Sorg, Vörðr, and others yet to be announced. So it may appear that Trismegistus Hex has stalled. This is not the case.

Gemini is a much maligned Air sign, and the mercurial nature of our collaboration demands the trust of twinship. Progress on the album (and other musical interludes) continues in due course, with regular sharing of ideas and concepts, and all will be ready when it’s ready.

But for now, we celebrate!
