@willbuckingham, I picked up my copy of _Tâigael_ today, and I also downloaded the #Taiwanese audio from the website. For Tâi-gí language learning, I plan to use these for listening input (once I get to the point where the material is more comprehensible for me) and for spoken output shadowing.
For anyone learning Taiwanese (Tâi-gí), Scottish Gaelic, Mandarin, or English who might want to use _Tâigael_ as a resource:
- The book contains 4 short stories, each translated into 4 languages. There are 5 written translations provided for each story: Taiwanese written in Pe̍h-ōe-jī (POJ) romanization, Taiwanese written in Chinese characters, Scottish Gaelic, Mandarin written in Traditional Chinese characters, and English.
- The website has free audio of each story in 4 languages: Taiwanese, Scottish Gaelic, Mandarin, and English. The audio files can be downloaded.
