We need to normalize declaring software as finished. Not everything needs continuous updates to function. In fact, a minority of software needs this. Most software works as it is written. The code does not run out of date. I want more projects that are actually just finished, without the need to be continuously mutated and complexified ad infinitum.

I feel like so much good writing is going on behind substack/etc paywalls, which would once have been on free and open blogs. I know how we got here, but I don't get how its sustainable. I simply can't afford to pay a hundred people a monthly subscription. (And also: fuck substack. Wtf are you doing on that platform?)

Je kunt niet meer over straat (en als postbode of pakketbezorger je werk niet meer doen) zonder stap voor stap geregistreerd te worden.

De populairste deurbelcamera's krijgen nu zelfs gezichtherkenning door Amazon. Waar je wanneer was ligt gewoon 'op straat', of in ieder geval op het bureau van de Amerikaanse veiligheidsdiensten.
