When I was an active EMT with Ferndale Fire, there was one man whose presence on a fire call was the most reassuring thing. Tom Ford was a paramedic by trade, and his skill, knowledge, and demeanor set the bar for all of us volunteers. If I saw Tom in the truck or on scene, my pulse and breathing rates instantly settled down.
Sadly, this morning, an address I knew to be his came across the I Am Responding app. Tom Ford, one of my favorite members in FVFD to work with, passed away at the age of 77.

As a comparison, this is about double the previous biggest protest earlier this year. Safe to say people are pissed.
Estimated attendance for the Eureka No Kings protest is 4000 per EPD Chief of Police. Seems about right to me.
Saw a huge number of drive by protesters too the whole time.

Humboldt, like the rest of America did us proud. I feel sorry for Soros though, that must have cost him a fortune.

@drahardja We debated that in our group. I've never seen evidence sitting works and it's counterintuitive. The decideing factor was one member who had been tear gassed in a protest. Tear gas settles, so sitting down makes it worse.
I plan to disburse if violence breaks out filming from a distance with my 400mm lens.

If there's anything that illustrated the hollowness of the Democratic Party as an effective opposition for me, it's this.
Yesterday, I watched a video of a sitting US Senator being thrown to the ground and cuffed by fed goons for asking questions of the fed official he has direct oversight authority over.
Within minutes, I'd gotten DOZENS of texts from Dems and Dem orgs asking for $5-$50 to "fight fascism."
That's it. "Are you terrified that your country is slipping into fascism? Pay me."
