New York Times | An ongoing military investigation has determined that the United States is responsible for a deadly Tomahawk missile strike on an Iranian elementary school, according to U.S. officials and others familiar with the preliminary findings.

Iranian officials have said the death toll was at least 175 people, most of them children.

Everyone knows NATO is dead, that US troops will especially never raise a finger to protect the Eastern front of NATO. With full knowledge of this fact, President Nicușor Dan considers that the best way forward for Romanians is to put them in direct line of fire of Iranian IRBMs (the big 80 submunition ones, which Romania is in full range of).

This isn't some conspiracy to subjugate the "proud Dacian ancestry", it's actually very simple. The current political class and the patronage networks that have been watered over the past 37 years are dependent on the status quo remaining intact, and will continue to defend a false reality to make this happen. The cynicism of both the population and the political class is along the lines of "fuck the country, got mine".

It is really sad to see such limited sovereignty in a country that saw a world of opportunity in the ashes of the Soviet Union and its Communist past.
