@arstechnica looks more like a spyker, but with less guilloché and quilted leather.
Edit: that is as close as I'll ever come to paying a Mercedes a compliment.

@LRRRonEarth they simply want to distract everyone from their wholesale looting of the US, and abandonment of it's remaining democratic(sic) norms. They already tried trade wars, that turned into a backed up toilet once the base realised it really meant higher truck prices. So why not a real war; it's not like they're gonna lose any assets, and they can use it to distract from their war crimes and genocide in gaza.
@Ailantd @Linko @Robo105 Well, things have changed quite quickly. Russia is pushing ahead with its expansion plans and the USA, by far the largest partner in NATO, can no longer be relied on since Trump.
Europe must now organize its own defence, and preferably in a sufficiently large and effective way so that it doesn't look like a worthwhile target in the first place. I know from a Spanish perspective, deep in the west of Europe, it may all seem far away. But it is important that the Europeans do not allow themselves to be divided on this issue and that ultimately the Portuguese also stand by the Lithuanians in solidarity if they are attacked.
The EU must resolve the budget issue. Perhaps through joint Eurobonds, or perhaps the EU's central bank will simply finance it. Solutions have to be found. You are right that we should avoid burdening national budgets with even more debt.
#PublicDomain no AI icons! Meant to look well with the Creative Commons symbols (despite them not being anti-AI, last i looked at least) and yah, feel free to use on your instances or websites or art or wherever!
Here's the source so its easily modifiable too! https://freesvg.org/no-ai-icons

@LRRRonEarth the more 2025 I'm exposed to, a purge doesn't seem like a bad idea.
@arstechnica fuck that.
@arstechnica I'm gonna print some 40K terrain in this, then wash it with sepia, so it has that authentic "pack a day" build up.
@getgrid I've not been able to get passed this screen for months. Everything is up to date, googleplay, grid as of this morning, latest version of android 15(for Xperia 1vi) I'm on a trip abroad right now, where this would be very handy and I can't use it.
@MichaelRobbins 4 things I wish I knew switching to linux.
1, When starting out, stick with a big distro with lots of users and active devs.
2, Install and configure Pika backup first thing.
3, Gnome's Boxes(or KDE's Karton, when it's ready) so you can spin up a windows VM in a pinch, for when THAT colleague sends you a Windows/Mac only file.
4, Fedora's media writer can be used with any distro's iso(far as I know), not just fedora's and has a Windows and Mac versions.
@georgetakei I'd like to point out that the confederate flag is also a symbol for fucking losers.
@juandesant @ilyess exactly, tech reporting is basically advertising for the tech industry.
@undead also, I like my tostadas piled with so much fucking Cotija they look like mini mt Fujis in winter.
@undead the schrodinger's tostada debate (when does a taco become a tostada, therefore no longer a taco) began circa 2025. By mid November 2026 Mexico declared war against it's northern neighbour for many reasons, as well as attempting to diminish the cultural significance of the tostada. Within four years North America became completely uninhabitable. Unfortunately the debate rages on among expats that survived the apocalypse. The outlook for civilisation doesn't look good.
I guess these fucking banking execs either didn't watch or understand #mrrobot
@camiloh personally, I'm hoping we might see a fedora/maui spin soon.
I love what you're building with Maui, in my opinion it is the future of Linux on mobile/tablet/desktop. A unified experience for Linux that meets the user where they are.
@camiloh the black column on the left is very dominant, gives it weight over the rest of the interface. Neofetch results look subdued in comparison(even over the white background). Maybe the column could have it's own subtle alpha so it's not so heavy?
I thought antergos stopped development?
@selzero early 90s I used to buy old cassettes like this usually teddy ruxbin or random self-help-shit audio book from yard sales, and swap in my mix tapes for gifting. Best ones I found were a bunch of star wars/GIJoe adventure cassettes, made a fine home for punk and hardcore mixes.
@georgetakei a while ago I was talking with an old college friend, who asked me when I became so woke? I quipped at the time that I was raised on Star Trek, which is basically an MFA lecture on empathy.
@liliputing_ I kinda want one of these, but I'm not paying a goddamn cent in tariffs. Only buying used tech for the next four years.
