I don’t like asking for money and I never expect financial help from anyone but due to circumstances outside of my control I’m about €230,000,000 short this month to pay for this yacht any assistance would be amazing and I will absolutely pay it forward (I won’t)

Two photos of the luxury superyacht Lady Lara cruising in open blue water near rocky coastlines. The sleek white yacht spans 298 feet (91 meters) with multiple decks and a modern, aerodynamic design. The listing below the images reads: “Yacht for Sale – LADY LARA. Length 298’7’’ (91m) | Builder: Lürssen | Build: 2015/2023. Guests: 12 | Cabins: 8 | Crew: 28. Asking €230,000,000,” alongside a “Contact A Broker” button.

To the Privacy Community: We need your help to help make Grid an effective tool!

1) Test it in real conditions and tell us where it fails.
2) Audit us. Grid isn’t built for the lowest common denominator but for security and privacy. Check our github out, help us identify where the gaps are so we can close them.
3) Ideas for improving self‑hosting security, map privacy, or making it usable on phones without Google services. We SO welcome contributions!

(we also have a discord community!)

@arstechnica looks more like a spyker, but with less guilloché and quilted leather.

Edit: that is as close as I'll ever come to paying a Mercedes a compliment.

#PublicDomain no AI icons! Meant to look well with the Creative Commons symbols (despite them not being anti-AI, last i looked at least) and yah, feel free to use on your instances or websites or art or wherever!

Here's the source so its easily modifiable too! freesvg.org/no-ai-icons

@getgrid I've not been able to get passed this screen for months. Everything is up to date, googleplay, grid as of this morning, latest version of android 15(for Xperia 1vi) I'm on a trip abroad right now, where this would be very handy and I can't use it.

@camiloh the black column on the left is very dominant, gives it weight over the rest of the interface. Neofetch results look subdued in comparison(even over the white background). Maybe the column could have it's own subtle alpha so it's not so heavy?

I thought antergos stopped development?

@selzero early 90s I used to buy old cassettes like this usually teddy ruxbin or random self-help-shit audio book from yard sales, and swap in my mix tapes for gifting. Best ones I found were a bunch of star wars/GIJoe adventure cassettes, made a fine home for punk and hardcore mixes.

@starlabssystems the question will be what type of stylus will it support? I'm sure we can't discuss until an announcement. Fingers crossed for Wacom's EMR, though AES would be much better than alternatives.

I hope you guys didn't pay to play with USI, they got a dog and pony show about being an open platform(as long as you cut a cheque) but their tech has not delivered a professional drawing experience, and I'd argue the only reason people think it's better than MPP is no Microsoft.

@fedora hmm, as a tablet user I've been considering pitching a Maui shell spin for some time. I've been waiting for the Maui dev(s?) to finish migration to Qt6, including the mauikit apps. I believe there's still some dependencies missing from the fedora repos, c'est la Linux.

@fedora wait, so could I make a custom spin with say MAUI desktop shell on atomic Fedora?

@starlabssystems although I installed Yellow Dog on my G3 Mac back in the day, I still used a Mac daily because the graphics options on Linux were nowhere near level they are now(ignoring inkscape's CMYK).

I finally got fed up with Adobe, tried out Krita, Inkscape, nextcloud and realised I didn't need MacOS. They went with soldered ram and non-upgradable storage, I realised I didn't need Apple.

On my 5th year now, free of big tech full time.

@ctrlsaltdelete @arstechnica at TP links prices, I'm sure they could paint the routers bright red and changed the name to "CCP's backdoored gear" and cheapskates would still buy them because all the sockpuppet accounts gave 'em 5 stars on Amazon.

@Sempf @earthshine maybe we need git-veilid? In case they go after code hosting platforms. Something like codeburg but the host server and devs are obfuscated with something like veilid or reticulum.

Projects could never be taken down.

@celeste_42bit @darren @w7voa you're preching to the choir, usable mobile Linux would be fucking great. It always feels like every project is at least two years away from being daily drivable.

Personally, I think the "winner" will be the waydroid on linux route, it seems to be making the most progress to getting us there. Not because I prefer the technology, they just seem to be making regular progress and delivering the must have and nice to have features.
