After a long hiatus, I finally stepped back on the court—this time, for my first-ever match on clay. I’ve played on hard courts my whole life, but nothing prepared me for the bounce and spin of clay. Got absolutely wrecked. Still, it was one of the most fun matches I’ve played in years.
Keynote complete. ✅
I don’t think he’s going to make his flight.
I just saw the police pull a guy out of the line boarding to Istanbul for stealing someone’s wallet. Woah! 😮
Flying to Zagreb tonight! 🇭🇷✈️

I just found the ignore boost from this user feature and I am overjoyed. I love the original content from some folks, but they boost so much junk…
Doing my best to stay grounded today. Working remotely from Panera and trying to focus, but the noise around me is relentless—even with noise-cancelling headphones.
It’s one of those days where everything feels just a little too much—people cutting me off in traffic, loud conversations I can’t tune out, and this overwhelming sense that no one’s paying attention to the impact they have on others.
I know these things aren’t personal, but when you spend your days showing up for others, it’s hard not to feel invisible when the world feels so loud and self-centered.
It’s not even 8 AM, and two meetings have already been cancelled on me—for today. Same-day cancellations aren’t just a minor inconvenience; they’re disruptive and disrespectful.
When you accept a meeting invite, you’re committing not just to a time slot, but to another person’s planning, preparation, and priorities. Canceling at the last minute signals a lack of consideration for that. It undermines productivity, trust, and momentum.
We all have unpredictable days—but checking your schedule before accepting a meeting and giving advance notice when plans change should be the baseline of professional courtesy. Last-minute flakiness has a ripple effect, and today, it’s costing me time and focus.
Let’s treat each other’s time like it matters—because it does.
@0xabad1dea I’m planning to head back to Amsterdam in October to see my favorite band perform (Sigur Ros). It won’t be as green, but it will still be beautiful.
@phil I know that guy!!!

Introducing the Tinker WriterDeck OS!
Convert any laptop and most chromebooks into a writer deck: A device designed solely for writing.
No distractions.
No internet.
No apps. No games. No social media.
Just writing.
The Tinker WriterDeck is very light weight and specifically seeks to lower the barrier of entry to creating writer decks. It converts older, reused, refurbished, or inexpensive laptops into a dedicated writing machine.
A digital typewriter.
The Tinker WriterDeck sits on top of a "headless" Debian Linux image and boots directly into a console based text editor.
We're using the Tilde Text Editor because it is a simple text editor, has an intuitive User Interface, and allows for customized color schemes for light and dark modes.
Operating System download and instructions on how to convert your laptop into a dedicated writer deck for free are found here: https://tinker.sh
See below for an example of the writer deck in light mode and dark mode.
If anyone has any questions or needs any help setting your laptop up, let me know here!

DS9 is indisputably the best. solid characters, writing, and arcs. classic episodic trek mixed in with series wide arcs with stakes that take interesting turns. nearly all the characters are legendary.
i'm unapologetically a Janeway fan. VOY has some of the best episodes and characters in Trek. also, some of the worst characters and the writing is inconsistent. DS9 is just consistently better. also, who gives a damn about torpedo or shuttle counts?
TNG is great, really the barometer for the franchise. a lot of great, classic episodes. also, a lot of crap episodes and stereotypes that didn't age well. rick berman's stink is everywhere.
TOS is a classic. while it can often be goofy as they were figuring out the format with a low budget, it's great in a campy way and great on its own.
LD is almost a parody, and it's hard to take it seriously sometimes. a lot of people don't like the constant humor, and I understand that. the writers clearly love trek though, and their dedication to the source material really shows.
SNW is good, but it doesn't quite stand up to the other treks. some great episodes with time travel and courts, among other classic trek themes. having some of the same characters as TOS hurt this one, but I guess it made sense for the plot.
TAS is wacky and so fun to watch. I do love the series a lot, I just don't think it's as good as the other series at the trek fundamentals.
I love a lot of the characters on ENT, but Archer is just okay and most of the episodes are so predictable and boring. they never have any subtlety in theme or plot. the cultural landscape around 9/11 ruined this series.
the only good thing I have to say about Discovery is at least it's not Picard.
haven't checked out Prodigy yet. it's a kid's show, so I don't know if it'd make sense to rank it in this list.
