Occasionally, I have shown reindeer lichens such as the Grey Reindeer lichen (Cladonia rangiferina).
This time, I am showing this lichen in its very rare fertile form with tiny apothecia. Hard to find and there are hardly any photos of this kind on the internet.

Snow and frost cover the landscape and glitter trees in Griffith Woods Park in Calgary on an cold December day.

Despite the cold, there is still no ice on the water, so the frosted trees are reflected in the water.
