If you believe the by-and-large awfulness of the world is caused by a corresponding by-and-large awfulness of humans, I think you're ignoring what we know about systems and what we know about causation, and what you, personally, know about the people you care for.

My 2 cents is I'm ok with current system, but I wish people would better understand the lower house system. Particularly that a party winning lot of seats there doesn't necessarily mean the public directly endorsed that party.

Today Australia wakes up to a new political landscape.
ALP majority government, devastated LNP group, community (and other) Independents maintaining their presence in Reps and Senate. Greens holding on.
How this plays out? I'll leave this to those with more front or knowledge.
It will be interesting to watch.
