If I were running #Canberra ...
I'd have a fleet of paddleboats so that workers in the parliamentary triangle could paddle across Lake Burley Griffin from Civic, whilst the main Commonwealth Avenue Bridge is having work done to it.

From instagram - notes on all the infrastructure projects / traffic changes about to hit the city centre / Cwlth Ave bridge.
What could possibly go wrong.
And what a mess for folk visiting CBR for tourism, and attempting to do business with govt - ACT and fed.

I have been keeping an eye on the updates - tl:dr they are almost out and don’t panic
@sister_ratched lots of people at Woden Plaza - I had to go in for an overdue haircut. Way too many people for me - and it was very loud! Only popped into Dobinsons on the way out to buy a treat to share with husband at home.

I'm sitting at Scotts Crossing. I keep hearing noisy cars. Then I realised. It has fucking started.
@cheryanne I been using IiNet for 10 years. The high speed g.fast is brilliant, we regularly get 800mbs. The NBN can only offer max 100mbs and no FTTP. #canberra is getting a really bad NBN deal, Katie should wake up or she will be Pococked! Andrew Leigh seems to have disappeared.
On the bus to work and I think this might actually be my first time on the new electric buses. It’s super quiet. Otherwise the same as the old bus, but it’s amazing how much calmer it feels in a quieter bus.

Today will be my first full day of g.fast internet (installed yesterday). So far so good. I gave up waiting for FTTP as it's still going to be a few years yet. I went with iinet because they have a 6 months free deal and no lock-in contract. Installer Tristan was terrific.

Things going well this morning.
First the power goes off. It seemed to be an uncontrolled shutdown as it glitched a bit first.
The flat is all electric, so not much to do when there isn't any power.
The power is back for 10 minutes or so, then the internet goes down.
All back now, but I will be saving my work a little more often today.
After playing hard to get all weekend, we finally get a burst of gutters-overflowing storm rain!
Hmmm. Thunder. #Canberra
Is that rain? #Canberra

Bunnings has been visited and the crap from the corner of the carport has finally been taken to the tip. Time for a refreshing swim at Phillip Pool while the thunderstorms roll through to the south.
Yesterday's news:
- Husband has bright green fibreglass cast on his right wrist because we now know he definitely broke something apart from the shower curtain.
- Grand-dog has gone home with daughter (his mum).
- Son is back at our place again.
Today is hopefully a quiet one at home.
First new summit of the new year - Mt Wanniassa, 810m asl. Took my new gaiters for a test run so did a spot of bushbashing on the way up.
Was planning on updating this yesterday, but just coming back to this now. I went twice yesterday, and I wasn't disappointed. I had tried both the sakura matcha and the matcha float. Matcha is prepared after you order, so when they are busy, there can be a bit of a wait, however it also means that the matcha here is probably one of the best in Canberra.
Here is a photo dump for you.
